How does this project work?
Agricultural training: Muslim Aid Australia is providing training to local farmers on improved agricultural techniques, including water conservation, soil fertility management and pest control. We provide training and support to farmers in Gaza on improved agricultural practices, sustainable water management and market access.
Supply of Improved Seeds and Fertilizers: The project provides farmers with improved seeds and fertilizers that will help improve the productivity and nutritional quality of their crops.
Installation of small-scale irrigation systems: Muslim Aid Australia is supporting farmers to install small-scale irrigation systems that will help them grow drought-resistant crops and reduce water wastage.
Market Linkage: The project is helping farmers to easily sell their produce in the local market. This will increase their income and improve their standard of living. Help them sell their produce in the local market so that they can earn a sustainable livelihood.
What are the implications of this project?
Improved Nutrition: Families are getting regular access to the healthy food they need, thereby reducing their nutritional deficiencies and improving children’s growth and development. With better access to healthy food, children can grow up healthy and adults can live long and healthy lives.
Financial self-reliance: Farmers are able to earn additional income by selling their produce, which is helping to improve their standard of living. Farmers will be able to increase their income and become more self-reliant in their livelihood.
Sustainability: This project promotes environmentally sustainable agricultural practices that will help ensure long-term food security. Which will help reduce the negative impact on the environment.
Sustainable Livelihood: Farmers are provided with a sustainable livelihood, which improves their financial independence and quality of life.
Community Development: This project helps to strengthen the local economy and promote development in rural areas.
