Art and science are artworks, but they are the ones that are chosen to be ignored and minimized in this world. Art is ideological while science is logographic and in a rare case where both terms are applied in one perspective because they are considered to belong to warring camps. But if we can express the actions of both in something that brings out the best in them, it becomes a magnificent creation that depicts the concerns of ecosystems affected by the current. Furthermore, Our Planet is not just a pretty picture; it is a reminder of how we have abandoned the planet.

Developed in collaboration with Christine Bergast, Guillermo Garcianchez and Evangelos Voukovalas, the artwork is a synthesis of a drawing, a mathematical simulation of ocean currents and climate data. From the EU Science Hub in partnership with the Joint Research Centre and EU Maritime and Fish, our Planet installation is located at IMAL and developed by SciArt.

Art and science As part of EU Green Week, we invite you to come and find out how you can help make the world greener using science and art. Although we do not consider it a painting, our planet considers our specific attitude towards our habitat – the Earth.

this Art and science Description:

Planet is a concrete example of the fusion of art and science, focusing on the processes of ecosystems affected by currents and warning about the neglect and non-appreciation of the planet. This is not only an aesthetic value of the work, but it also has a hidden interpolation connected to environmental protection.

Art and science Developed through the SciArt project, the artwork appears to have been produced by artists as well as researchers. It relies on mathematical modeling and real ocean dynamics, along with scientific data about environmental conditions, to deliver the message that we are neglecting and undervaluing the planet.

The Our Planet artwork is associated with EU Green Week and can now be seen on iMAL. The show encourages viewers to not only look at art and think about it, but also to think about what they want the future of the world to be like. It promotes science and art as a means of raising awareness about environmental Mama Lemme issues and making a difference in the world.

Art and science Materials used: Interactive media design, modeling techniques, fluid mechanics, computational data, climate factors

Techniques: It refers to; Data Visualization, Novum Digital, and Interactive Art.

Art and science Impact:
Discussing the importance of ecosystem processes and connection between ocean currents and the human actions, OurPlanet contributes to raising awareness about the issues. Acconci is saying in art is war, that is, art is against, by leaving art to live in science, artists are passing the torch to viewers, to a goal, to alter the World to become more socially responsible for the planet. This successful integration of art and science shows that art can complement the presentation of scientific knowledge and help people understand it more easily. Art and science The work is universal and raises concern about nature, as well as encourages people to reflect upon the future of the planet.

Combining Art and Science:

Art and science information layout of this work is the dynamics of ocean circulation using forms and in this case, colors. It encourages them to look at the patterns of nature and it teaches them to be fearful of the ocean. The artists used mathematical modeling and scientific data on the waves and drew the whole work with it. This is to ensure that the artwork is realistic or a real work of the real world!

Art and science the ‘work ‘ is comprised of a multitude of single selected spirals which are made through things like ocean currents and currents. All these designs are derived from mathematical models of water motion in the seas.. Other colors which were put by the artists differentiated changes in water depth and temperature.

Art and science The work is constructed from canvas, paints, recycled plastic and computer waste.

It is a very big installation which makes the viewer to feel that he/ she is surrounded by the ocean. The artwork has been applied in many exhibitions and is highly appreciated.
